Bahamas Cruise - Day 3 in Nassau

Nassau is the capital city of The Islands of The Bahamas, resides on New Providence Island, neighbor to Paradise Island. This is where all cruise lines to Bahamas converge as about 2 or 3 ships will be on dock at Port St George to pour their passengers off board to service the local tourist industry. The city thrives on the tourism trade, not in a bad way of course.
We decided to rough it out with baby and walk around the city center, even though there was a slight drizzle. This place reminded us of Port Louis, Mauritius where we went for our honeymoon. The weather, the narrow streets, the beaches, atmosphere.....and of course like in Port Louis, we climbed to the highest point in town to have a bird's eye view of the city. This was taken from Fort Fincastle:

The city center itself was choked with luxury shops:

This is the seaside boulevard at Port St George.
