Bahamas Cruise Day 1 - Embarkation

Woke up in the dead of the morning at about 5 am to set off to Port Canerveral, FL for our cruise to Bahamas. It was that early partly because baby woke up at the unearthly hour of 4.30am due to her jet lag and we thought we might as well set off early since she has woken the whole family up. She was pretty grouchy when we had to strap her down on her car seat early in the morning. But at least her mood lifted as the morning sun rose on our 4 hour drive to Port Canerveral.

We actually arrived at Port Canaveral early, not surprisingly and we took a hour rest stop next to the Banana River, just before crossing the bridge to Cape Canaveral where the port is. Here's baby enjoying her new "Kelty Kids Tour" baby carrier. Look at her pursing her lips:), soaking in the sea breeze. This is one of her interesting expressions that me and wifey never knew who she learnt/inherited from, but we do suspect it was from her wifey's second sister, baby's er(4) yi(2).
And this is our home for the next four nights, the "M/S Fantasy". This was actually taken in Port St George, Nassau, Bahamas as we didnt have time to capture a good view of the Fantasy at Port Canaveral.

Some quick facts about the ship from the top of my head:

  • "M/S Fantasy" (don't know what's M/S though) is registered in Panama.
  • There are about 960 crew members and a capacity for 2056 guests on board.
  • It is run by Carnival Cruise Line.
