It has been some time since we post in our family diary, so I thought we should restart this blog to keep for memories sake.
For the winter holidays, we went to Boyne Mountain for a well deserved break after my Preliminary exams. Boyne Mountain is not really a mountain in the true sense of the word but a series of hills in Northern Michigan which is snowy enough for use as a ski slope.
Accommodation was a 1 bedroom loft Mountain Cabin (636J). Was a very pleasant place with plenty of space for the girls to run around. They love the loft which they converted into their little boudoir. The cabin also has a well equipped kitchenette which allowed us to do our own cooking after a full day at the slopes.
We won't entirely sure if the girls would enjoy the skiing experience. MX in particular was totally unexcited about skiing before the holiday but once they saw other kids whizzing around, they were ready to give skiing a try. So on our second day morning, EW, MH and MS all went for beginner ski lessons. We were pleasantly surprise that MH and MS LOVED it and insisted on signing up for the full day ski camp for the subsequent days. Not wanting to dampen their enthusiasm, that's what we did.
Besides the ski camp doubles up as child care as well, which frees me to hit the slope. hee hee. Slight issue was that MS doesn't really like the snow so me and EW had to take turns taking care of MS back at home.

The elder girls love the skiing experience while the young one enjoys her own space in the cabin.
At the end of the holiday, MX was at the Level 2 Advanced Beginner level, while MS was at the Level 3 mini Advanced Beginner level.
